The Ready to Work grant targets mid-to-high-level Information and Communications Technology (ICT) professionals who have been unemployed for at least 27 weeks, defined by the Department of Labor (DOL) as Long-Term Unemployed (LTU). The goal of this program is to provide additional services to these individuals so that they may successfully re-enter the workplace in an ICT field.
- Additional training related resources and a larger amount of grant money that can be used to update skills and receive approved training certification to re-enter the workforce
- Access to on-going financial counseling services provided free of charge to all participants
- Job Placement services through established relationships with employers and to specialized recruitment for ICT related occupations across industries
- Specialized case management including resume customization, mock interviewing, LinkedIn help, skills identification for targeted opportunities, job search strategies, workshop enrollment, available e-learning options, and more.
